Oliebejdsen er ikke lige så transparent som Ægte bejdse eller Lakbejdse, men giver til gengæld en jævnere indfarvning. Oliebejdsen giver en god grundbeskyttelse, samtidig med at træoverfladen får en blød og taktil træfølelse. En oliebejdset overflade er desuden let at reparere. Det er nok, at du sliber det beskadigede område ned og påfører ny Oliebejdse. Den har også en længere åbningstid end de lakbaserede bejdser, hvilket gør, at den er bedre egnet til større overflader.
